  • Q1. What is "NIPUN Bharat Digital Initiative for Tablet Distribution" Scheme?

    Ans. The "NIPUN Bharat Digital Initiative," led by the Uttar Pradesh Government, aims to digitally empower educators in schools across the state under the purview of the Basic Education Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh. This initiative seeks to provide educators with tablets as part of a comprehensive Learning Resource Package.

    To realize this ambitious goal, a dedicated portal "NIPUN Bharat Digital Initiative Unified Portal", and a Mobile App has been meticulously crafted. This Portal and Mobile App, streamline essential functions, including the management of educator data, the distribution of tablets, scheduling of device allocation, event inspections, and numerous other critical processes.

  • Q2. Who all are eligible for this scheme?

    Ans. Teachers and other educators appointed in the Parishadiya Primary Schools of Uttar Pradesh, those are operational under the purview of Basic Education Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh, are eligible to receive the tablets under the scheme "NIPUN Bharat Digital Initiative". As on 10 October, 2023, it is proposed to distribute tablets to 209863 teachers.

  • Q3. Do teachers/educators have to register on this or any portal to receive the tablet?

    Ans. Educators do not require registering or applying on any portal to avail the scheme benefit. They will be informed about the status by their respective School or Concerned Authority through SMS/Email/Notice/Official Website or any other suitable communication channel. Teachers in certain schools in Uttar Pradesh have already been finalized by the Basic Education Department to receive the tablets under this scheme.

  • Q4. Who all are intended to use this portal and how can they register themselves?

    Ans. Anyone can access this portal and website of NBDIUP. Parishadiya Primary Schools of UP/Institutions, Nodal Officers at District, BSA, Block, UPDESCO and other bodies authorized by the Government of Uttar Pradesh or Basic Education Department, GoUP from time to time, will be able to access this portal. Also, the designated persons do not have to get themselves registered on the portal. There logins will be created by the authorized users of Portal after which their Login details will be sent on their registered Mobile No. and Email ID.

  • Q5. Do teachers/educators have to pay any fee to receive the Tablet?

    Ans. No charges or fee has been imposed by the Department on Teachers/Educators to avail the benefit. This benefit is completely free for the beneficiaries.

  • Q6. Where should teachers/educators contact to know the schedule of distribution of device or any other scheme related information?

    Ans. Beneficiaries are advised to regularly visit the official portal of NBDIUP and Official Website of Basic Education Department, UP to keep themselves informed, or they can contact their respective School through effective communication channel for any related information.

  • Q7. When shall School/Beneficiary expect the handover of Tablet(s)?

    Ans. Schools and Beneficiaries will be informed about the schedule of receiving the Tablet(s) by their respective Basic Shiksha Adhikari. Additionally, they will also be informed about the schedule via SMS & Email.

  • Q8. What information do you fetch from my device?

    Ans. Basic Education Department, GoUP or Government of Uttar Pradesh or any other relevant body under its purview which is not authorized to collect the device information, doesn’t fetch any personal information from your device.

  • Q9. Can you check my browser history?

    Ans. No, we do not track your browser history. In fact, the following personal information are not tracked:

    • Calling
    • Web Browsing History
    • Email
    • Text Messages
    • Contacts
    • Calendar
    • Passwords
    • Pictures, including what's in the Photos App or Camera
    • Files & Phone number
    • Apps and data in your personal profile
  • Q10. If you do not track any personal information, why do you even need MDM installation?

    Ans. The MDM enrolment has been done for the enterprise deployment of the devices. This ensures that enterprise grade security features are available in the device, it prevents device from data loss, phishing and blocks malware. If device gets stolen, it can be remotely locked by the admin when end user reports such device loss. MDM also helps in pushing educational content and career growth related content to the devices directly, though dynamic wallpaper and boot logo, which helps end user to stay updated with the latest government policies.
